Guernsey The Guernsey Pound is a local version of the Pound Sterling, issued on
the Channel Island of Guernsey since 1921. Guernsey Pounds are legal tender
only in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, not in Great Britain. Guernsey pounds issued
before 1994 are now obsolete. The discontinued Guernsey Pound bills and
pre-decimal Guernsey Shillings are no longer a valid means of payment in the
Bailiwick of Guernsey or elsewhere in the Channel Islands. We continue to
purchase all old banknotes and coins from Guernsey as well as the current
issues. |
